Environmental Management & Improvement

UNPAR minimizes negative environmental impact through:
Pollution prevention measures in campus operations
Energy-efficiency research and community adoption projects
Key initiatives include:
Development of cement-free construction materials using industrial by-products (e.g., phosphogypsum) to reduce conventional cement dependency
Policy research on Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to promote greener transportation
These efforts empower local communities and industries toward cleaner, more efficient energy systems.
UNPAR also engages in water resource conservation through collaborative projects:
Citarum River water-quality assessment (Majalaya District)
Conservation pond evaluation in the Cikapundung River area
Water-quality modeling in the Cibarani irrigation channel
Participation in the Rainwater Management Study in Sawahlunto, West Sumatra
A formal MoU with Tahura (January 2024) supports long-term environmental stewardship.
On campus, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences leads climate-change education via:
Courses on environmental politics, green economic policy, disaster management, and sustainability in business
Workshop on Waste Management in Academic Environments (aligned with SDG 12)
Immersive activities like Green Camp and field learning in disaster-affected regions
These programs build environmental literacy, foster a low-carbon mindset, and prepare future leaders for ecological resilience.
